I thought about this one, and I am not sure one way or the other. BUT, I am guessing that depending on which revision Snap 1000 they have, this just might work. I am guessing that if he has the same revsion 1000 that is the same basic unit as the 1100, which in effect is very similar to a 2200, he might just be lucky. You are the expert on those, what do you think?

Another solution might be to purchase a used 2200 on eBay and swap your drives in. I have seen Snap 2200 on eBay often go for dirt cheap next to nothing.
