I got a strange very high drop between core and coldplate, it's 15*c between the edge of the coldplate and the core, and thats too mutch.... I don't know exacly whats the problem is, but the core on my xp1600+ isn't 100% plane.. it's like a big sphere... I have to fix a rig to grind it plane...
to the waterblock, it's designed for an other project, this is just a step on the way.... I atempt to use a cubic coldplate of solid copper (52x52x52mm) and 4 156w pelts, with one block each, and that's quite tight... so the block is designed to be small (50x55x13mm)... all to keep cool at hich Vcore's...
the coldplate on the pictures is just a test rig... next step is 2 pelts...
a singel 156 can't handel the XP @ over 2.1v... so 2 is on the way...
