I'd buy silicone regardless of pelts or no pelts, it is a little cloudy, but it is really easy to see the water, and any bubbles. The other thing is cost, $2 per foot is nothing too much really, and how many feet are you going to buy? 5ft? Thats $10, versus like $2 for the same amount of vinyl
