DONE!! Few questions, tho

Yow, just finished my water cooling setup this afternoon. Temps are great as far as I can estimate. I'm using a DD Maze2 with 3/8 elbows, a Black Ice (bought for $80.00 a day before DD got them for $50, s--t), and a Danner 250, which doesn't seem to affect my monitor, 2 feet away from my mini tower. Thanx for the help, guys. I still have a couple of questions, tho:

1) Do I really need to cap my fill tube(s)? They're uncapped now and I seem to be doing fine. What's the purpose of capping them anyways?

2) Have any of you guys heard of Zerex radiator and pump anti-corrosive lubricant stuff? The guy at the auto store said it was a good enough alternative to waterwetter (which they didn't have). Seems to work okay.

3) What's the best way/place to attach a thermal sensor (the kind with the wires that go off to an LCD display)? I've heard tons that intra-socket sensors suck ass. Where should I place my sensor, and how should I affix it there?

4) One last question, where can I buy a valve/stopcock between two barbs? I've heard it helps to use one between two fill tubes.

Sorry for the long post, but thanx a bunch for the info.
