I'm a newbie, so maybe I am out of line but... is it possible that the purpose of watercooling the item was not intended for overclocking or making the box run silent? Is it possible they wanted to watercool it just to cool it better?
The problem may have been fixed now (I'm not sure as I don't own any consoles and don't keep up on the news regarding them) but *many* of the Xbox consoles were heating up and dieing. I know four people personally who killed their Xbox within a month and had to have them replaced. They were all told the same thing. The Xbox runs too hot, and if you play it for too long you will fry it. (The one system was run continuous for 10 hours, after shutting it off it would not power on again).
If *that* were the reason, and watercooling *can* cool better than air, then it seems perfectly reasonable to me.
