I picked up a 1/4HP Tecumseh oil cooled unit. Its very srong and the guy said it should have no trouble running 24/7 as long as its well ventilated. I was thinking of using a 1/4" copper tubing wound into a 4" diameter coil, about 6" long (about 10' of straight tubing). Is this too much? I will be cooling between 2 and 5 liters of 66:33 water/methanol mixture. The pump flow rate is 230gph at one foot. Should I use a capiliary tube or would a "tx" valve better? (TX valve is sometimes known as a CPE valve keeps the pressure constant going into the evaporator.)
Thanks
