The Gemini 1/4" and the 3/8" were tested using the same Eheim 1048 pump. The High Volume Water Block is to use a higher GPH pump. I have changed my barbs to 1/2" only to fit the rest of my system. Fixiiit glad to see that you and Peter have talked.
