If it's truely anodized properly then I seriously doubt its the anodized aluminum itself being affected. However, dye is used to create the false coloring in anodized metal, so I would have to say it's the black die being leached out of the pores (when you anodize metal, it actually creates pores in the surface. There is an additional step that can be done to close the pores, but it usually isn't done).
