well, you can prolly get it off without daminging to much of the mill, may just have to replace the holder.

Mine DID come with 3 collets, but I cannot use 3/8" shank endmills because the spindal shaft is to big for a 3/8" shaft collet. So that is where the 3/8" holder comes in. it actually works great unless the bit binds as it tightens itself. 1/2 HP worth of tourque at 3,000 RPM tight!!!
The problem with trying to rmove it is I need to clamp something to the spindal shaft AND the holder. Both of witch will get damaged.
