the tygon looks exactly like vinyl... i wonder if its elastic memory is like silicone or like vinyl... if its anything like vinyl then whats the point?

anyone know what the Shore A durometer is for the standard vinyl tubing everyone is using? the silicone we use has a shore A of 50, the tygon is 55. so the tygon is pretty soft, i THINK. i want to know the durometer of vinyl for comparison.
