it would really benefit you to post the thermal conductiviy and melting point of said solder.

i'm currently using silver solder in my soldering applications, and it has a pretty high thermal conductivity and a relatively low melting point. this stuff can be had at your local plumbing store for cheap. check the portions of silver/other metals when you buy, too. try to get some 20% silver stuff. the other 80% is usually tin or copper.
