Stacking pelts are not recomended as you will usually get worce results unless you use huge pelts with size increasing away from the CPU. The first layer needs to move the heat of the CPU and needs to be rated much higher than this load to get a good temp diff. The next level needs to move the CPU's heat AND the heat generated by the first layer (usually more than the Qmax if run at Vmax, pelts are very inefficient coolers (not to be confused with effective, which they are)) so needs to be rated much higher than this combined load. You can see this from Brad's setup. Getting this to work requires many pelts and alot of power.

PS I forgot to state what that rambling about temp shifts had to do with anything. ;'] Well in stacked arrangements there tends to be greater temp shifts than in a single layer system.
