Plumbers goop dosn't dry clear though(has a cloudy haze to it) which is a must for an acrylic top. Epoxy works fine if you add ascrews for sheer strength which it looks like Gemini did. If you add those screws while the epoxy is wet it makes the bond exellent. But I am still not sure I would go that route. I like the O ring myself. that makes the top removable aswell which is like.
