that may be true, but you can just buy the core from DDen or Dtek Customs for $30-35 which is still a lot cheaper than any black ice rad. mounting to the case isnt a huge issue (just get some narrow threaded rods and nuts). the shroud is the main issue i think, but you can just make one out of cardboard and duct tape (ghetto i know, but it works). a plastic food container would also work if you dont want to fool around with sheet metal.
the cores also look ugly...until you prime and paint them (im painting mine a dark metallic grey...looks good so far). the only thing the BIX has going for it that a heater core doesnt is that its easier to mount fans onto it, and its smaller (thus easier to mount into smaller cases). decide for yourself if its woth the extra $30...i think not.
