i was using a piece of silicone in my system with water wetter

the tubing did turn pink

BUT i was trying to get rid of the stuff growing in my system so i started over with new tubing, and a new piece of silicone.

but this time a added alot of 91% isopropyl alcohol. maybe 1/2 cup+ to my 1/4 gallon system.

over the course of a month there was barely ANY pink in the silicone

not sure why this happened but its something to think about.
