I figure for my first project I should go big and easy. So i'm planning to do it first in the full tower case (generic pos 6 full size bays). Here's is what I was thingking of doing.
1 just cooling the cpu
2 radiator vertically in the top back of the case
3 resivour up top (either in the open 3 bays or behind them)
4 pump in the bottom of the case

I've got a heater core ready. I'm going to order a maze3 water block (3/8 or 1/3 fitings?). Debating on the pump. Should I go ahead and just order a pump with the water block, or should I try to find a cheaper pump. Pump size/ model is big question for me. I decided against a mag drive for my first outing just for ease of mind. So I was looking at Eheim 1048 or 1250. Should a 1048 be enough to overcome the head in this system? What needs to be done to the pumps to have them work properly in a w/c setup? Do the barbs need to be changed out modified? I've read about the impeller mod, not sure if its overly needed if I use a resivour. I'm guessing all the bits and pieces that I will need can be found at Home Depot.
