Tell you the truth, I have *no* idea what was up with that. It's strange that the 44 reading only came from the BIOS...

I can't imagine how loud your setup is. Do you get headaches often?

I think next time I design a system from the ground up I too am going to go with the 1/2" on the blocks. And to think I almost built the CPU block.... uhhhh what a nightmare that would have been...
