Thats pretty bad but I can top it I think. While attempting a voltage mod one of the arms broke off the hp103 something or another chip after I was done and the voltage mod was working. Following me having to buy another motherboard I broke the center lug off my socket mounting the water block. After coming up with a new clip design to use the 4 mounting holes I lost 2 40gig hd's. Then 3 months later I lost my cd-rom drive along with my cpu. It had been sitting untouched for 3 months until I grabbed a quick shower and came back to a black screen. The core had cracked! So buying a new cpu, I wasn't able to use it a 1.4, what it was rated at! Turns out the L1 bridges along with others had shorted out. I had to solder them back on, because a pencil wasn't enough to bridge the gap.
Just now am I getting things back together. I know how you feel though. When It rains it poors.
