Actually, it's not too loud. The PSU fans are under my control..  the little screaming fans on the GF3 and the northbridge have been disabled, and I am using low speed panaflo 80mm's in their stead. The only audible fan is the 172mm comair in the front. At low speed, it just makes a low pitched hum; at 12v, it's still not high pitched, and is not particularly loud... It's just louder than I'd like. Anything is better than a HSF's high pitched howl.
The 2 IBM 60gxp HDs are the loudest part... they make a high pitched whine that phases in and out... super annoying. Sometimes I turn up all of fans just to drown out the HDs.
Also, the comair fan is right next to my foot, not far from my ear. I cut away the case around it, so there's nothing between me and it. I've got to move my case farther away.
