Alright a couple things I have noticed thus far in hooking mine up. You will need the MSComm.ocx file in order to get it working mostly, so you will need to go here and get the MSComm file;

Here is the .df file that goes in the Definitions dir for LCDC do a right click save as;

And a sample setup file that runs a few programs, also save that in your LCDC Dir;

I cannot get mine to read correctly for free disk space and what not don't know if it is just because I am blonde or what ?
Rabid hardware did a great howto as well that will more than likely be a good read for you, I am using Dan dudes prog, defaulted to serial 1. Following the how to's on Rabid hardware will really help;
