It was obvious that I attempted to unlock it. I can't get them to take it back. There is a spot that wont come off it with alcohol and the pits have krazy glue in them, so I think they would most likely laugh if I tried to get a replacement.

I wound up getting another 1800+ and decided that I didnt want to risk messing it up and paying for another one if I screwed up. I can't stomach another failed attempt just yet

If I kill another CPU, my wife will kill me. I guess I'll make another attempt later on.
