can't you just sqeeze them together really, really tight, and then wrap duct tape around the whole thing? (be sure to cut out a little hole on the bottom for the die) Duct tape can fix anything, you know...
Better yet, you could create a separate channel around the perimeter of the block, and depressurize it. hehe... the vacuum'll hold it tight...
