well, this is my 2nd wc setup. my first one was a maze 2 with a bong that i made. cpu temp idle for that was 38, ambient 24, load 41.
i recently upgraded to maze3, bix w/120 pana h1a, mag drive 3, 1/2 silicon.
in both cases, cpu temps were measured with the motherboard sensor, and the ambient meaured with dd5.
with new setup, idle 36, ambient 27, load 39.
the reason for the ambient increase is change in weather since ive built the new setup (midwest weather is crazy).
heres my cooling cycle. pump>maze3>rad>res the reasoning for this is that the waterblock will have more flow over it (thinking that more flow = better cooling). does this make sense? also, i have a lian-li pc70 with the panaflow installed in the rear above the psu sucking in air to push through the radiator. im thinking that this may be cycle the hot exhaust air from the psu back in, anyone had any similar experience with this? any critiques on my setup would be appreciated since my temps seem a little higher than the avg so far...
