Actually windshield washer fluid is the best. It contains methenol 33% & water 66% for a freezing point of -37F compared to a glycol/water mix has a freezing point of -20F. The viscosity is better also meaning the flow rate won't slow as much as antifreeze when it thickens at extreme temps. Pure methenol has a freezing point of -144F and pure glycol is -72F. Hell I've used it many times as an additive to mortar when patching up basements in the middle of winter.
