Well somone here mentioned you should lap the waterblock. My Maze3 was not flat so I lapped it flat. I am no big fan of the maze3, since my Maze2 cooled just as well, has nothing to do with this issue anyway, but you need to lap it flat. I don't believe polishing up to 2000 grit is needed either. Just lap it flat to 600 grit is fine.

Also I have read a couple of posts around the net stating issue with AS3. HarryC over at amdmb posted that he removed his HS and the AS3 had turned to liquid. He contacted the maker of AS3 and they replied that the AS3 did not cure properly after installed due to to HS fan vibration. Yikes! When I remove my block the next time, I will check to see AS3's appearance, glad I saved my AS2!
His was not the only post mentioning a problem with AS3.

I don't know if you used AS3 but I thought I would mention it.
I suppose you need a DigDoc or something to get another reading on the core.
