Redleader,

I tried to design my current lanparty box to be quiet. In my current lanparty box (an enlight 7237) I have 4 panaflows HA1's - 1 in the front blowing air in, one on the side next to the cpu/gpu blowing air in, a blowhole on the top blowing air out, and one on the back blowing air out. I have them run at 7v all the time. They are quieter than the 60mm sunon on my sk6, my psu and my harddrive.

I can barely tell the sound difference between the 4 of them being on and the 4 of them being off. What is really interesting is that when I run them at 12v there is no temp difference - just a lot more noise.

I am getting a black digidoc 5 to match my case and I will be monitoring everything. My goal is to keep the cpu at 40c fully loaded with a quiet a system as possible - fewest fans. I am probably going to have to slowly test things and use motherboard monitor to determine what I can get away with before I have to cut holes for more fans. I can't tell but I think a lot of sound comes out of the blowhole so I would prefer to just use the fan holes in the back if possible in addition to the rad fans.

To get rid of the psu noise I am getting an enermax 465 with the fans that can be controlled by my digidoc.
