I read about your weekend - I feel your pain man - I had a similar one when I was at college - heading to UNH with some of the soccer team to see the ramones (first time drunken stage diving!) - etc. etc. Glad you made it back ok.
I was set on getting the eheim 1250 but now I am considering the danner 5 or 7 because it is much smaller. I am not going to do anything until my cube arrives next week and I can really make some measurements. Those fan grills are bad ass - I really like them and I was thinking today f**k it I am spending so much already whats 20 bucks more?
As I posted I think I get alot of noise out of my current blowhole so I don't want any if possible - I am leaning towards a bigger rad - levethian or make my own levethian and placing it where you did with two 7v 120 panaflows. I would then use 2 120 panaflows monunted in the back where the fan holes are and also run them at 7v - all controlled by the black digidoc. I can't wait to see it - black is beautiful baby! I got it from directron - also there is a 15$ coupon I used for them as well!
This is a test water rig. If it works out ok I will move the shuttle/xp chip to my main box a supermicro 750 and I will put a decent dual amd board in the cube - waiting for the 760mpx boards to come out.
