NOPE no way in he double push rods.

the chip came from the endmill breaking the edge as it left the material. Prolly pushing the feed rates a little high. Just about every block will show this flow if it is not corrected.

remember, castings leave small air bubbles in molten metal. Any kind of machining will leave small pits. I have a Spir@l that was machined from a cast off of casted copper alloy. I can show pics if needed.
