Yeah, I dont know of anyone experiencing data corruption from a mag drive pump. Most Ive seen is a little monitor interferance. Unless you are a server needing 100% stability and data protection, I wouldnt worry about it.

My UDMA 100 cables are ~2" from the pump.

And besides, Have you ever taken the rare earth magnets out of a hard drive? A 1.5 square centemeter magnet puts out like 50lb of pull! I'd be more worried about them.
