Hey, my first post here maybe some wat stupid for some of you hardcore water cooling freaks here, but anyways.
I just put together my first water cooling setup with a
black ice extreme
maze 3
eheim 1048
1/2 i.d braided tubing (quite thick)
running a athlon 1.4 @1.6 (air cooled)
now for a res i was thinking of making one inside the case, but unfortunately i got really tight for space (inwin q500)
so i placed a bucket beside my desk on the floor i have the eheim submerged in the bucket, the top of the bucket is overed with plexi glass, but there is a opening to fill the bucket.
will having a bucket as my res lead to any problems? like algea and bacteria's ? will they/can they be harmful to anyone in my room
, the last thing i want is some kinda disease from the bacterias, i hav a bottle of water wetter.
So basically any drawbacks to using a bucket as a res.
