Would it matter if the bottom was made of copper & the top of poly?

The whole purpose is to transfer the heat into the water, not to the surrounding air.

This block is a spiral design, I believe, which should give the water quite a large surface area to transfer heat.

I'm no expert on the design of waterblocks, I'm just asking because I'm curious.
