I see a few people saying that those temps are about right. "in a pigs eye". with case temps 35c you can't expect too much from any cooling solution. I have recently replaced my tbird with a XP1800+ and it's running 1754@2.02 vcore and under full load it stays 35c. room temp is around 24c, case temp 29, and I'm using a swiftech mcxc370 hsf with a duct and a delta 68cfm 80mm fan.
so you see air might not cool as well water but it can come close with the right setup. don't just slap a hsf on and expect it to keep it cool you need airflow my friend.
