Thats not true. Considering I will most likely be running my fsb @ 165-177 area it will perform really well.

Yes it would of been cheaper but I wanted to give intel a chance again. I havn't had an Intel cpu since my p2-400

Also, the tbred isn't looking to hot right now. Overclocks are not to high, and the upgrade path isn't clear. The intel's upgrade path isn't as shady and the overclocks are awesome right now.

The final thing that sold me was the temputure. The p4's run much cooler. They also have built in thermal protection. The less heat I produce the less heat I put into my room and the easier it is to keep it at 70f. Right now with my p2-400 I have cold air exhausted from my case. My rooms stays at 70f to. Granted it won't stay like that when I run a p4, but never the less its less heat generated.
