Like i said do a search here. They used an O-ring in a square path on the base of a 'shell' that sits on the ceramic. Pretty high-tech aint it ?
They just has to insulate AMD L-bridges.
BTW i fit in category 3 i guess. I'm watercooled. 1 is quite ok for me as well
