air trap hose placement ideas
i'm in the early planning stages for my next rig. its gonna be a spir@l, heatercore, eheim 1250 and everything like i have now, just a different case with much more room than my inwinq500 case. one of the main problems i'm having is air bubbles that wont get out of the system, or that keep gettin into the system.... i think a main factor of this is the air trap (12oz rc fuel tank) being at the bottom of the case with the pump.
i want to put the air trap and possible the pump at a higher point in the system instead of the bottom of the case but then i got to thinking were exactly to put the hoses/barbs on the air trap...... would it be best to put the input at the top or bottom and output vice versa. i currently have input near the top and output at the bottom. this would be best for a possible leak situation so i can run the system as long as possible but what, if any, would the advantages be of having the output near the top..???
