I never have used a eheim pump before. My Danner is not to bad. I need to glue the impeller to the shaft. It's about as loud as my 80 mm front fan at 10 volts. I would say about 26db. Thats with the side case off. If I run my 80mm fan at full you can hear it over the pump. The fan is mounted in front of the pump to keep it cool.
