The Quattro is purely for use with these new 220W Tec's. As you can imagine, one needs a large surface with very well ventilated interior, and at those kinds or wattage, hotspots in the block is a big no-no. the fittings, as a result of the size of the block, is 1/2"NPT and therefor can go up to 3/4"id, and up to 4 fittings(dual pump). It does however perform just as well without Tec's.
