airspirit I think you got ahold of a bad pump because I know alot of guys in these forums including myself that run the Via aqua 1300 and have for quite a long time with no problems at all. It's a fantastic pump, puts out alot of flow, and is very cheap. It almost sounds like you may have had a serious back pressure problem. Sorry to see your so down on the pump.
