Just as a side note, for future block designs...
It seems to me that BillA had a good point, about hot Swiftech deliberatly puts a curve on their waterblock, because the baseplate may bend, as it's clamped down (leaving a gap in the middle, over the core).
So clamping from the top, in the middle, should be better, right? The block could then be perfectly flat.
EDIT: correction: the Intel IHS is curved, not the Swiftech.
