I took mine off like 3 times. I cleaned it with lemon juice and vinegar the first time, but I got some corrosion when I put it back together. So I had to clean it again. The second time I used Tarnax. That stuff works great!! A soak for 10 minutes and it will look like brand new cooper. You can get it at the grocery, or hardware store. Then It sat for a bit, so right before installing I took it apart again and cleaned it one last time.
