this sample of deskpro is nag where/expire-ware too, so I'm running it from a small little partition that I have to restore it's os every 30 days, to keep the thing working... but ya, I'm not even in possession of a mill yet, so no way I'm spending 1000's+ on software...... yet anyway.... oh by the way, any of you guys know where I can get a nice cross slide milling table, preferably with a flat table and some T-slots in it...(not the vise built in) and measuring on the X and Y .
What i'm thinking of, is to convert the cross-slide into CNC, and fit it onto the drill-press, my design method, do not require any lateral movement while cutting, just extreme presision, and repeatability....
