
Ok, first milling test went fine, with steel bolts, I had to mill for the mounting of the vise to the table -> no problem
And today I tryed milling some copper, I milled those roughly cutted 60 x ~82 mm blocks to exact 60 x 80 mm, almost like hot knife through butter, I went to straight to final measure of 80mm so I milled in 1-2 mm steps depend on how the block was cut, and it was great no vibrations just smooth milling, and also turning the wheels was easy, so now I'm very confident that those 253oz stepper with Geckodrive will work like a charm.
And jd, I was thinking of adding some strong spring to negate the weight of the milling head with gearbox and motor.
