That would involve the copper block temp rising above 65 deg C, and I don't believe that that could happen within 2 seconds, heck not even within 2 minutes!
OCP is a built-in circuit (on the mobo) that reads the diode and shuts itself off once it reaches a set temp. It needs to be this way because the CPU (AMD) would fry almost instantly if the cooling device falls off (not likely). Otherwise it's good on-board protection. pH's gizmo will work equally well.
