I bit the bullet. I bought the new Eliminator.
Nice controller, for the most part.
The thing feels ok in my big hands, but it feels like it has the same counter weights my Xterminator had, which were a couple of large ball bearings in the lower part of the grips. I'll have to open it up and have a look/remove them. It's amazing how shaving 8oz can completely change a controller.
Balance isn't much of an issue I find...I have a death grip on my controllers anyway.
