hi morphling1 and oher people who have knowledge in milling + cnc i have got a few questions about your mill and mill's in common .

your bf2 how much W or hp is your motor on the mill.

i have a mill and want to convert it to cnc too, so i researched alot but cant find all i want to know. the spindels usually have a little slack in them. that it takes some movement/time before they accually move.

my mill has a little bit of that, someone told me that can be adjusted with your milling program so it takes measurement+slack. is that true? and i can use my mill for cnc

and than a bit about control. i myselff am a airplane mechanic and work in mechanical buisness and i am not that good in electronics.

i saw this one http://www.steppercontrol.com/s100.html.
so if i am right i need that controller a powersupply for controller and a powersupply for the steppers. than i have all i need to controll right? or am i missing something?

and a question about software. there are many software controle programs that are delivert with controllers. can other software been used by other controllers or is it only for 1 controller?

well i would be very gratefull if you can help me with these questions.

and im thanking you alot.

Grtz Ted

(btw sorry if its bad english or bad reading/writing but i am dutch :P )
