Freaked out at this point, I pop my puter open and clear the CMOS and give her another boot. This time I get into regular BIOS. Upon checking my PC Health stats, I'm at 75C CPU temp and rising!!! At this point I panic and check everything in my box for leaks and such and realize that my pump is not pumping and is SUPER hot. Further, I noticed that I'm not getting the typical spark in the relay going to the pump when I turn the power on. I'm going to disconnect the relay tonight and try to wire it directly to the wall, but I think my pump may have bit the big one. At least it has a warranty ... I just don't know how keen they'll be on honoring it since I've done drastic surgery to the power cable. This really p!sses me off, since I was planning on hosting a massive UT2K3 game tonight. *sighs*
Give that pump a try! I ran my Little Giant out of water for over a week and it still works fine. It was hot when I discovered it after a road trip because a leak drained my system dry while I was away. I thought it was toast to. Also I always carry a air cooler for just such an emergancy (one that will fit in between the hold down bolts), always have to be ready to keep the game server going!! Hope it still works for you!
