Nascar has skills...but its...well..boring.
Nobody talks about HP, nobody talks about tuning...its get in and draft.
That and NASCAR has yet to be exported to other countries...unlike Drag Racing
Besides...I can say AutoX is as well...I mean its got a nickname of being Parking Lot Racing...sounds ghetto to me. I mean if you really want a challenge, try the Japanese variant of AutoX where they have the most outrageous looking courses that require spinning around a cone several times and sliding the rear end around.
But yeah, NASCAR sucks...and where are the pictures

You just have never been to a good AutoX I guess in the US. There are a handful of Madison AutoX's which are brutal and some people do flick the car around, but as most drivers will tell you, thats rarely if ever the fastest line. ( since AutoX courses do NOT get to a speed level that a slide like that is benificial).
NHRA and Top Fuel type dragsters... TOTALY different that the no talent mullet sports I am talking about... I am talking about all the kiddies and non pro drag folks. Any "Professional" level of an auto sport is respectable to a point. But its hard to call what the rejects do down at the strip with mom and dads car "respectable". Learn how to turn kiddies.
And NASCAR has been exported, there are 2 European Spec stock car series, one Australian, and one in asia also. Oval racing of spec cars is nothing unique to the US. Even Nascar drivers can handle a road course or 2! I would fear to see some of the straight line racers be confronted with a off camber decreasing radius turn...
if the entire capacity of the race is trying to not fry a clutch and hold the steering wheel straight for 10 - 20 seconds then thats not really much compared to someone who concentrates about a line, and has to shift 40 times per lap for 80 laps on a road course and control 900 Hp in and out of turns, all while driving in a group of cars at 180 Mph.
Drag is for the weak and the simple among us. Want to prove something, learn to drive good.. cause in drag racing its all about money.. the more money you have the faster you go. In an road course, or shit even a Rally, someone whos invested 10,000$ has a chance of SPANKINg someone with a 90,000$ car if they can drive good enough. Hmm even an AutoX... a 5000$ car could walk all over a 200,000$ supercar if the driver is good enough.
see a theme here? The driver is the important part in the sports I admire, the car is just a tool for them. In Drag, the Driver is the tool, and the car just wants them to press a button, push a peddal, hold on, and hit the brake at the end. wow Skill.
Mullets!!!
