The experiences that I've had with dell were back in the "old days," I think that it was a 200 MHz I was repairing for a friend, ugg. I now have the mainboard in a special drawer, waiting for Episode 2, attack of the hammer

They are not so bad now, but the only OEMs I've had contact with in the past while are Acers and E machines (I did work on a HP, but not enough to warrent a "hate rating"). I h8 acers (at least the way they are built), they are so user unfriendly, the case has vampire tendacys, and everything is either screwed, rivited, welded, or glued in! It took me 1.5 hrs to replace a bad heatsink fan (not kidding, also sliced open my hands several times)!!!

E Machines are not all that bad, they just leave something to be desired in the area of preformance, and quality. Already replaced the PSU fan (which was a pain), and completely reworked the system several times. Don't get me wrong, they are nice computers, but I'd rather build my own!

Ok, that is enough ranting for now...

If it works, fix it until it's broke!
Then, after it's broke, add duct tape!
