Get a 10amp DPDT relay with a 12v coil from Radio Shack. Connect the coil to a spare molex connector, so it is energised when the PC is on. Cut the pump wire connect as follows:
- Ground wires should be conected together, without going through the relay.
- Wires to the pump should go to the relays 'switch' contacts.
- Wires to the wall outlet should go to the relays 'normally open' contacts.
Either solder and heat-shrink the connections, use appropriately sized insulated push on connectors, or a suitable plug-in relay socket.
This diagram is how I'm doing it on my system.
