Well, I might be talking out of my @ss here, but you have to determine your mounting configuration before you can order materials - if you're going 4 mobo hole mounting, you probably want 50-60mm X 75-80mm stock. Given that you want 1/2" "manifolds", you're probably looking at ordering 3/4" thickness. So there you go, for 4 hole mtg. : 2"x3"x.75"; for "clip" mounting: 2"x2"x.75".

As to the size and number of the X-drilled channels, the rule is as small, as many, as close together as you can make them. 2-3 rows high, staggered.
